The Story Behind the Painting
This artwork is inspired by Rovinj in Istria and a romantic night by the sea. A large moon reflects on the water, blending with the warm lights of the town. A couple sits together, enjoying pizza and the calm evening atmosphere. The painting is a collaboration with Bella Istria Pizzeria and captures a feeling of connection, good food, shared moments, and the charm of a coastal night. It reflects the warmth of Istria and the joy of simple pleasures.
For me, this scene is also about family. A meal is a moment of togetherness, and pizza in particular is made to be shared. Sitting close, reaching for the same box, talking, laughing, and simply being present. In this painting, the shared pizza becomes a symbol of love, connection, and the small rituals that bring people closer, just like family does around a table.
